Step 1 – Determining Your Financial Aid Eligibility
The CRCDS Financial Aid Office administers aid programs that require students to demonstrate financial need for assistance beyond whatever financial contribution can be reasonably expected from the student and his/her spouse (if applicable). Eligibility is based on the difference between the estimated costs of attendance and what you reasonably can be expected to contribute (Expected Family Contribution or EFC). To determine EFC, all students are required to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application may be filed electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov or you may obtain a hard copy of the FAFSA from the Director of Financial Aid. You will need to enter Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School’s federal school code of G02700 in order for the school to put together a Financial Aid Package for you. If you have not filed a FAFSA before, you must obtain a PIN from www.pin.ed.gov
The maximum Federal Stafford Loan for graduate school is:
The Subsidized Loan (FSL) is borrowed first, and if there is still financial need, the Unsubsidized Loan (FUSL) is used. The Expected Family Contribution can be covered by the Unsubsidized Loan.
Every student who completes a FAFSA receives a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the federal processor. If the CRCDS federal school code is listed on your SAR, we will receive the same information electronically. Please review your SAR for accuracy. If you find that you need to make corrections, follow the instructions and return it to the processor. If you send corrections to the processor, you will receive a revised SAR. These same corrections will also be sent electronically to the CRCDS Financial Aid Office.
To request a student loan, download the form below or go to the downloadable forms page and submit a request to the Financial Aid Office.
